Everton to refuse Gueye sale

Everton will not sanction the sale of Idrissa Gana Gueye to Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window.

According to claims from the French media, as reported by GFFN via Twitter, the Toffees have informed the midfielder that his future remains at Goodison Park.

The Senegalese international had been heavily linked with a move to Ligue 1 giants PSG in recent times, with Thomas Tuchel keen to strengthen in the holding midfield role.

However, it seems the German will be forced to explore other alternatives as Everton firm up their stance over Gueye’s future on Merseyside.

The 29-year-old has started 18 games in the Premier League this term, highlighting his importance to the Premier League club.

Marco Silva will be determined to retain the services of his key players as he bids to help the Toffees force their way back into European competition ahead of next season.
