Everton to rival Tottenham in chase for Juventus man

Everton to rival Tottenham in chase for Juventus man

Kwadwo Asamoah’s contract at Juventus expires at the end of the season and according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato, Everton want to sign him on a free transfer.

The experienced midfielder has been a wonderful servant to Juve over the years, however, it seems they are willing to let him leave this summer as he seeks first-team football elsewhere.

Asamoah is set to be a wanted man and, if Calciomercato are to be believed, Juve’s Serie A rivals Inter Milan have already offered him a contract ahead of next season.

However, a move to the Premier League for the first time in Asamoah’s playing career could be on the cards, as Everton reportedly begin to take an interest in the 29-year-old.

Asamoah’s versatility will have undoubtedly appealed to a number of potential suitors. The Ghanaian international is able to play anywhere on the left-hand side and is also a more than competent central midfielder.

Everton are not alone in their interest, though. According to Calciomercato, Tottenham Hotspur have also explored his availability ahead of the summer, whilst Udinese are also in the race.
