Gerard Deulofeu is reportedly open to signing for Roma this summer as his Everton future continues to be under scrutiny.
According to a report from Italian news outlet Calciomercato, as claimed by Sky Sports’ Transfer Centre today, the Serie A outfit are keen to land Deulofeu as they look to swiftly move on from the sale of Mohamed Salah to Liverpool, which was confirmed last night.
Eusebio Di Francesco will be looking to add a winger to his squad this summer in order to fill the void left by the Egyptian’s departure and given Deulofeu’s impressive stint in Serie A last season, it comes as no surprise to see him reportedly being targeted.
The Spain Under-21 international was excellent while on loan at AC Milan and they are understood to have retained their interest in signing him permanently.
It doesn’t look as though Deulofeu has a future at Everton, but he certainly won’t be short of potential suitors this summer.
