Everton’s number one candidate to replace Sam Allardyce revealed

Everton want to make former Hull City and Watford boss Marco Silva their new manager, according to reports.

The Blues are set to part ways with Sam Allardyce later this week and they want to replace him with the 40-year-old.

Everton originally tried to hire Silva before they appointed Allardyce as the club’s new manager and Watford blamed the Blues’ approach for Silva’s sacking, saying that his head had been turned and as a result, the team had suffered.

Silva, who managed Olympiacos to a league title win back n 2016, is highly regarded as one of the best young managers in Europe and Everton will be looking to hire him when they confirm Allardyce’s exit.

Despite the club finishing in eighth place in the Premier League, a lot of Everton fans were disillusioned with the football on display by their team under Allardyce and the majority of supporters will welcome a change of manager.
