Exclusive: Ex-Everton striker hails exciting potential signing

Fulham midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa could be a player Everton want, claims former Toffees striker Marcus Bent

25-year-old Anguissa signed for Fulham for £22million back in 2018. Since then he has gone on to play 64 times for the Cottagers, cementing himself as one of their most vital players.

Despite being a part of the side that were relegated from the Premier League last season, the Cameroon international showcased his potential by becoming a prominent figure in the middle of the park.

Since their relegation, clubs have reportedly been interested in acquiring his signature.

When asked about how good of a fit he would be at Everton, Marcus Bent exclusively told Read Everton that: “Bringing players from the Championship or an exciting player into the Premiership, that’s what the fans want. That’s what the club wants.

“I think what they’re trying to do is just get experienced players in. Not experienced players in the sense where they’re 32/33 but experienced players where if you’re paying money for them they’re going to come in and do something.”

Anguissa’s current contract expires in 2022 with an option to add on an extra year, but it wouldn’t surprise many people if a Premier League team came swooping in for the talented midfielder before then.

Everton currently possess quite a few players in that position, but his arrival could add competition in that midfield area.
