Everton qualified for the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup following a fine 2-0 win over Aitor Karanka’s fearless Middlesbrough side. First half goals from Gerard Deulofeu and Romelu Lukaku sealed the victory for The Toffees.

Gerard Deulofeu once again showed his class by earning a man of the match award. Romelu Lukaku also kept up his recent goalscoring form, having now scored 6 in his last 5 games for Roberto Martinez’s side.
