Watford manager Javi Gracia has admitted that Abdoulaye Doucouré could follow Richarlison in leaving Vicarage Road.
Despite signing a new five-year contract last summer, the French midfielder has been subject of interest from a number of club across Europe, with Everton and Liverpool principal among them last summer.
And Gracia has admitted that the 25-year old could follow in the footsteps of former teammate Richarlison, who joined Everton last summer in a deal worth around £40million.
Marco Silva, who previously managed Watford, was keen to reunite with the young star he had brought to the club last summer, and was reportedly interested in bringing Doucouré with him to Goodison Park too.

Now with Gracia’s admission that Doucouré could also move on, Everton fans are sure to be excited about recent rumours linking Everton with a January move.
Talking to reporters before this weekend’s game against Newcastle, Gracia had this to say on the defensive midfielder’s future:
Last season every week we were talking about Liverpool or Everton, all the clubs that were interested in him.
We can speak about it again. For me Doucouré is a great player, a very important player for us. I do not know what will happen. It doesn’t surprise me other clubs want to sign him because he is a very good player.
In this moment, he is playing for us and I try to help him improve his level – thinking he is going to be with us for a long time. It is important the club know how important he is – the owner as well. But after that, they decide what is better for the club.
Sometimes some players, like last season what happened with Richarlison, decide themselves. It could happen again. This is something we don’t want, but it is football.
