Grades: Everton’s 2017/18 signings

It is fair to say that the 2017/18 season was very indifferent for the Merseyside club.

Going into November, the club occupied a relegation spot and had no manager following the sacking of Ronald Koeman.

Sam Allardyce was appointed at the end of that month and he guided them to an eighth-place finish.

However, it still felt like a disappointing season for most Toffees fans. The football they played failed to excite the fans or the board and that led to Allardyce being relieved of his duties earlier today.

Part of the disappointment stems from the big money they spent last summer to try and challenge the top six sides. That failed to happen and with a large turnover of players over the season, expect the same again this summer.

We’ve decided to grade the many signings Everton made this season from A-F.

matchday.
