Gremio have denied that Everton have made a bid to sign forward Everton Soares, as reported by Correio do Povo.
Gazeta Esportiva reported earlier this week that the Toffees were interested in signing their namesake in a €35million deal, with manager Carlo Ancelotti having personally spoken to Everton Soares about moving to Goodison Park.

However, Gremio have moved to dismiss speculation of Everton leaving for Everton, claiming that no offer has yet been made.
Gremio executive director Klauss Camara spoke to Correio do Povo, as translated by Sport Witness, saying:
Everton at Everton is a situation that is coming up more intensely.
But there’s no presented offer. In recent months, he’s been linked to several giants in Europe, but nothing concrete.
Richarlison added further fuel to the fire over a possible deal for Everton Soares earlier this week. After posting a video of his goal against Brighton on Instagram, Soares commented on the post, calling the 22-year old a ‘craque’ (a very good player).
In response, Richarlison replied saying ‘estamos te esperando’, which means ‘we are waiting for you’.

I’d love to see Everton sign Everton Soares for no other reason than the amazing marketing opportunity, but the forward has also proved to be an exciting talent. WhoScored value Everton Soares’ league rating at 7.33 for last season, with the 23-year old having scored 11 league goals in 30 games for the Brazilian side.
That rating is much higher than that of Bernard, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Moise Kean, while Richarlison is marginally behind on 7.29. While Everton Soares does play in a competition with far less quality than Everton’s players face in the Premier League, that is still an impressive and consistent run for the Brazil international.
Having described Everton as a ‘great team’ as recently as December (Globo Esporte), it isn’t hard to imagine that Everton Soares would be open to a move to the Premier League. WhoScored report that Everton Soares is a ‘very strong’ dribbler and finisher, and that he likes to cut inside and provide counter attacking threat, and that clinical nature and speed on the break could be just what Carlo Ancelotti is looking for.
