Everton have already failed with a bid for the player, who they have chased throughout the summer.
Swansea are thought to be demanding somewhere in the region of £50 million for the player.
The player returned to training during the week after missing out on the club’s pre-season training camp in America, but a decision was made between the club and the player that he would not feature today against the Championship outfit.
Wales Online also report that due to the player missing out on the training camp in America, which included double sessions, Sigurdsson is still not fit enough to be considered anyway.
