Watch: Hackney’s first day at Everton Football Club

Everton have released behind-the-scenes footage of Hayden Hackney’s first day at the club, giving fans a closer look at the moment their new signing arrived.

The video follows Hackney from his arrival at Finch Farm through to a first look around the Hill Dickinson Stadium, shortly after completing his move from Middlesbrough on a five-year deal running until 2031.

It’s the kind of access Evertonians have come to expect since the move to the new stadium, offering a glimpse of the reaction on Hackney’s face as he takes in his new surroundings for the first time.

The 24-year-old arrives with a big reputation, having been named the Championship’s Player of the Season last term after helping Middlesbrough reach the play-off final. He’ll be looking to hit the ground running under David Moyes, with pre-season training now edging closer and a midfield spot up for grabs following Idrissa Gana Gueye’s departure.

For supporters still buzzing off the signing, it’s just a nice piece of content to tide things over — a reminder that pre-season is closing in fast, and with it, a first proper look at Hackney in Everton colours on the training pitch.
