How Everton could line up in the Premier League next season

Carlo Ancelotti will be chomping at the bit to dive head first into the transfer market this summer, with his Everton squad needing plenty of work ahead of what will hopefully be an exciting upcoming campaign.

Since his appointment in December, the Italian has seen his side improve tenfold, and once he is able to bring in his own players, the club should only operate smoother and to a higher standard.

While it isn’t clear whether Everton will have the Europa League next season following the current season’s suspension, Ancelotti will certainly hope to break back into Europe in the near future, whether that is next season or the campaign following.

As such, the manager is expected to be ruthless with his squad in the summer, meaning his starting line-up for the first game of the new campaign will likely look different to the one that ends this season.

Looking at Everton’s squad now, considering both several players that will be set to return from injury as well as some of the reported targets for the club, we’ve put together our team that we could see starting under Ancelotti next season.

matchday.
