Iliman Ndiaye linked with shocking move to rivals

  • Ndiaye has been one of Everton’s finest players in the Premier League era.
  • After 11 goals in his first season, he remains a key player for David Moyes.
  • Shockingly, the winger has been linked with a move to Liverpool.

Iliman Ndiaye has been inspirational for Everton since making his move from Marseille in 2024.

After finishing as their top scorer in the 2024-25 season, he continues to perform, and his absence during his time away at AFCON highlighted the impact he has on his side.

But his top performances have attracted the attention of clubs around Europe, and the Blues will be doing their best to keep the Senegalese star.

Amongst the clubs that have eyes on Ndiaye are Everton’s biggest rivals.

Liverpool are admirers of Iliman Ndiaye

Although Liverpool are the historic rival of the Toffees, they have a firm admiration for Ndiaye and would like to bring him to Anfield, according to TEAMtalk.

The Reds spent over £400 million last summer following their title-winning campaign, but the mass investment has not gone to plan, and they have failed to build on their impressive Premier League win.

Following news that club legends Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson are set to leave the club at the end of this season, Liverpool will turn to the transfer market again in the hope of injecting even more quality into their squad.

If Ndiaye made the move, he’d become the first man to move from Everton to Liverpool since Abel Xavier in 2002.

Moving to Liverpool would be unthinkable

An Everton player moving to Liverpool is something that is quite thinkable, but obviously not impossible.

Evertonians vividly remember the actions of Nick Barmby, and his move across Stanley Park is still one that is poorly looked upon.

In an age where the Toffees want to become the premier side in their city, selling their best player to local rivals is something they would not even consider.

On top of the Blues likely refusing a sale to Liverpool, it would be hoped that Ndiaye knows how worshipped he is at Everton.

As the last men’s player to score at Goodison Park and the first to score at Hill Dickinson Stadium, Ndiaye is a historic figure for the Toffees.

Liverpool are a good team, and they would of course have good players on their radar, but Ndiaye is an Everton hero, and the club will do their most to keep him in a royal blue shirt.
