Inter Milan have taken Matias Vecino off the transfer market following another ‘inadequate proposal’ from Everton, according to Calciomercato.
The Italian outlet claim that the Toffees have made another offer for the 28-year old Uruguayan, although the Nerazzurri have once again deemed Everton’s offer to be ‘inadequate’.
Calciomercato report that Vecino will now be fully reintegrated back into Antonio Conte’s squad, with Inter not willing to consider selling him even if an appropriate offer did now come in, as there wouldn’t be time to replace him.
This means that should Everton wish to sign a midfielder before the window closes on Friday, they will need to look elsewhere.

Vecino hadn’t been the most popular of players to be linked with a Goodison Park switch this month, while the Liverpool Echo still maintain that Everton were never interested in the Uruguayan, despite many Italian outlets reporting on the story throughout the past few weeks.
As such, Inter’s decision to keep Vecino at the San Siro shouldn’t be considered a loss, especially if the Echo are indeed correct in that Everton weren’t actually keen on the midfielder.
If that is the case though, it begs the question over who Everton have been pursuing this month? Vecino was, by far, the most reported on story of the past few weeks, with no other midfielder receiving anywhere close to that amount of page time. Should the club have had no desire to sign anyone this month, that could have been made clear from the off, and if they did have the intention of bringing in players, then they’ve largely failed to do that.
