Jorge Jesus has spoken out about his future as Flamengo boss amid speculation linking him with a Premier League switch.
The Portuguese coach has emerged in recent days as the latest manager on Everton’s watchlist as they bid to find the perfect successor to Marco Silva.
The former Watford boss appears to be on borrowed time on Merseyside, with Farhad Moshiri determined to find a new manager who can reinvigorate Everton’s season.

Former Benfica boss Jesus has been someone who numerous reports have claimed that Everton hold interest in, and now the 65-year old has spoken out.
Talking to A Bola (via the Liverpool Echo), Jesus had this to say on his future:
I don’t know what will happen to my future after Flamengo. I know I have a contract until May. Then anything can happen.
My focus is Flamengo. There is no possibility of communicating with me about another matter. They say many clubs talked to me. Even the World Cup has nothing, I do not talk to anyone.
My focus now is on this project, this goal and Flamengo. I live the most beautiful year of my coaching career and I want to enjoy it to the fullest.

This could be true, but equally Jorge Jesus could be playing it safe to test Everton’s interest in his services.
I’d be very surprise if any deal for Jesus went through, especially given his lack of Premier League experience, I’m entirely sure that Farhad Moshiri would fight tooth and nail for someone in Jesus’ position.
That being said, it would be worth pursuing the 65-year old instead of relying on a more dependable option like David Moyes, who would ultimately be uninspiring.
