Juventus preparing to hijack Everton’s move for Sevilla star

Italian champions Juventus are planning to hijack Everton’s January transfer move for former Stoke City midfielder Steven N’Zonzi, according to Estadio Deportivo (via talkSPORT).

The midfielder has fallen out with the club’s staff and Sevilla are prepared to offload him for £25 million when the January window opens.

New Everton manager Sam Allardyce is also keen to make a move for the player, having worked with him in the Premier League at Blackburn Rovers. This could up the pressure on the Toffees to make a move.

N’Zonzi has been excellent for Sevilla since joining the La Liga outfit, establishing himself as one of the top holding midfielders in Europe.

It is expected that Everton will be prepared to pay this kind of money for N’Zonzi but will now face some very tough competition for his signature, as surely the 28-year-old would favour a move to Turin and Champions League football.
