Comparisons are still being drawn between Moise Kean and former Everton forward Romelu Lukaku following the Italian’s full debut against Lincoln earlier this week.
Much like the Belgium international forward, who recently signed for Inter Milan, the 19-year old former Juventus man is quick, powerful and skilful on the ball, attributes that make him an attractive prospect for Everton fans.
Kean is still waiting to score his first goal for the club since signing this summer for around £26million, but he has shown glimpses already of the potential he possesses.
Reacting on social media, a number of fans continue to draw comparisons between the new boy and Everton’s all-time record Premier League goalscorer, despite Marco Silva having moved to play down those links.

As mentioned above, it is easy to see why Kean is being compared to Lukaku. Both have very similar attributes, both were seen as huge marquee signings and both were signed by Everton at a young age with bags of potential to be realised.
Kean’s issue will be the pressure now, with a portion of fans likely to compare his progress to Lukaku’s at the same point in his Everton career, which will only serve to discredit the work Kean does.
What we can hope for is that if Kean takes his own path and own time to get to where he needs to be, that he can eventually be the man Everton have needed for so long, to replace the Belgian hitman.
