Jonjoe Kenny continues to impress with German side Schalke, after scoring against Hertha Berlin on Saturday.
The right-back, on a season-long loan from Everton, lined up for the Gelsenkirchen outfit in their latest Bundesliga tie, scoring Schalke’s third goal in 85th minute and receiving a standing ovation after the whistle.
Kenny joined the German side this season in a bid to gain more first-team minutes at the top level ahead of rejoining Everton as a key player next season.
Seamus Coleman is nearing the end of his Merseyside career, while Djibril Sidibe’s deal is a loan, where his performances will ultimately determine where his long-term future lies.

Many fans have been buoyed by the early season impressions Kenny has made so far, with some speculation claiming Schalke could look to sign the 22-year old permanently if he maintains his early season form.
Several Everton fans took to Twitter to praise the young defender, who looks more and more promising.

I’m actually surprised at how much of an impact Jonjoe has made in such a short amount of time. There were questions hanging in the air about his viability as Coleman’s long-term successor, but the 22-year old is doing a great job in showing that he deserves to be first choice, if not at Everton than elsewhere.
Hopefully he can keep it up over the duration of the Bundesliga season, not just for Everton’s benefit but also for his own.
