Klaassen and Sandro are going nowhere insists Bill Kenwright

Despite failing to impress in their debut season at Goodison Park, Everton Chairman Bill Kenwright has said that summer signings Davy Klaassen and Sandro Ramirez will not be jumping ship without making an impact at the club, despite Sandro leaving on loan in January to join Sevilla.

Klaassen was signed from Ajax, after an impressive season, notably featuring in the Europa League Final against Manchester United but has only gone on to make 10 appearances so far, with no goals to his name.

Sandro has made seven appearances and has scored one goal for the Toffees.

Kenwright, who has been chairman since 2004, had this to say:

I am part of the team that brings them in and gives them the Everton talk and all of those players, every single one of them who signed for us last summer, were determined, determined to wear that blue jersey with pride and become, hopefully, legendary Evertonians. They’re still good players and they’ll still be Everton players next season.

Despite the two signings not making the impact they had wish to have made, Kenwright is still happy with the signings of Michael Keane and goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford, who is in contention for the number one spot in England’s starting 11 at the World Cup this summer.

matchday.
