Everton manager Ronald Koeman was happy with his players’ commitment and attitude in their 1-0 loss to Burnley, Sky Sports have reported.
The Dutchman looked on as his side fell to yet another underwhelming defeat in the Premier League, this time at the hands of Sean Dyche’s resilient Burnley side.
I’m not unhappy what I saw from the team, they showed today how we have to play. It (going a goal behind) impacts the team, the fans, but I can’t complain about the attitude or commitment of my players today. That was perfect. Of course we can play better on the ball.
In this situation it is really disappointing but it’s a different defeat than previous.
Jeff Hendrick’s strike at the end of a well-worked Clarets move was enough to land yet another huge blow to Koeman, as pressure mounts.
The Toffees have endured a hugely difficult start to the campaign, and are sat in a rather concerning, low position.

Everton fans appear to be losing patience with Koeman, who has struggled to get his side playing this season. The final whistle was met with a collectively frustrated reaction by the Goodison Park faithful against Burnley, but the Dutchman remains defiant.
Koeman insisted that he was trying to get the most from his players, and reinforced his delight with Everton’s commitment.
It is not in my hands but I try to get the best out of the players. If there is no commitment and no aggression that is maybe a reason to think about my future but I thank the players for their commitment today.
I can’t complain about my players today, They did everything. Maybe we could create more but it is not so easy against Burnley. You go down in the result, they are really defensive-minded, really physical.
We tried everything, the commitment and spirit of the players was really positive and the final result was not.
