Kondogbia should consider Everton move instead of Spurs switch

Everton and Tottenham are interested in signing Geoffrey Kondogbia, according to Sky Sports, and the Valencia midfielder could be making a bad career move if he chose to join Spurs over the Toffees.

With both Premier League clubs looking to bolster their midfield options in the summer, the 27-year old has emerged as a target, with Kondogbia having impressed in Spain since signing permanently from Inter Milan in 2018.

The Central African Republic international may have a decision to make in regards to his future once the transfer window opens, whenever that proves to be, and the midfielder should pick Everton over Tottenham.

Given the midfield issues that Everton have faced this season, with Fabian Delph and Morgan Schneiderlin having both been routinely slammed by the club’s fan base, Kondogbia may have an easier route to the starting line-up at Goodison Park.

Not only is competition more tough at Tottenham, but the managerial pressure is also much more difficult to bear, with Jose Mourinho’s slamming of Tanguy Ndombele recently showing that the manager isn’t afraid to throw his own players to the wolves.

Carlo Ancelotti has lofty ambitions with Everton, with winning back qualification to the Europa League the first major stop on the club’s journey to success, and Kondogbia could become a major player in the club’s project if he decided to turn his nose up at Spurs’ advances.

Kondogbia could feature more frequently at Everton, and he wouldn’t be hung out to dry by his own manager, and those are two key arguments for why the former Inter man should consider the Toffees to be the more promising potential destination.
