Leeds join the chase for Mo Besic

Leeds United have joined Middlesbrough and Swansea City in the race to sign Everton midfielder Mo Besic on loan, according to a report in the Yorkshire Post.

The Bosnian international spent the second half of last season on loan at Boro after falling down the pecking order at Goodison Park and it looks like he’s keen to make another loan move to the Championship.

The 25-year-old enjoyed his time in the North East and could choose to return for a near-full season, but Leeds and Swansea are hopeful that he’ll turn down a return to the Riverside in favour of a move to their respective club.

Leeds and Swansea are two of the three Championship sides to have won every league game they’ve played this season (Aston Villa are the other), whilst Boro sit top of the table on seven points having played one game extra.

It looks like all three sides will be well in the mix for promotion so it’ll be interesting to see which side Besic chooses to join.
