Long Secures Brentford Loan Extension

Everton and England Under-20 international, Chris Long, has today signed a one-month extension with Championship side Brentford. The rising star, who has made 5 substitute appearances for the London-based team, scoring one goal, will now remain in the capital until the 21st March, when his loan is due to expire.

Born in Liverpool, Long made his debut for Everton’s senior side in their 1-0 home defeat by Krasnodar in December’s Europa League group stage clash, and has also turned out for MK Dons in League One.

The pacy striker was a prominent part of Everton’s pre-season schedule, netting a stunner in the match against Bundesliga side, Paderborn.

“I am delighted with Chris’ contribution at the start of his loan,” Brentford manager Mark Warburton announced upon completion of the deal. “I feel confident all parties will benefit from the loan being extended.”
