Lookman picks up minor injury on international duty

Ademola Lookman has returned to Everton for treatment on what has been described as a ‘minor injury’ following his involvement with the England Under-21s.

As confirmed by the Toffees’ official Twitter account, the young forward will be attended to by the club’s medical staff after sustaining an unknown knock on international duty.

Lookman has been sharp when coming off the bench for Marco Silva’s side this season but has yet to earn himself a start in the Premier League.

After an impressive cameo appearance against Chelsea prior to the international break, there have been calls for the ex-Charlton Athletic striker to feature in Everton’s starting line-up on a more regular basis.

However, after some time with the England U21s in recent times, it seems the youngster will be forced to sweat over his fitness after sustaining a ‘minor injury’.
