Lyon remain confident about their chances of beating Everton to Yerry Mina, despite the Toffees having a deal agreed with Barcelona.
L’Équipe, as cited on Get French Football News, claims that Lyon are hoping their relationship with Barcelona will see them win the race to sign the Colombian.
Lyon are in the market for a new central defender and are targeting moves for both Mina and Benfica youngster Ruben Dias.
The report also claims that Mina has his heart set on playing European football next season, something that Lyon could offer and Everton would be unable to match.
Recent reports have claimed that Everton reached an agreement with Barcelona over a deal for Mina, but the player is yet to decide on his next move.
Mina has been tipped to leave Barcelona after an impressive World Cup tournament.
The Colombian had fallen out of favour at the Nou Camp, but interest has been mounting following his performances in Russia.
