Middlesbrough keen to make Besic’s stay at the club permanent

Middlesbrough want to complete a permanent deal for Everton midfielder Muhamed Besic, according to reports.

It’s claimed by the printed edition of the Sunday Mirror, as cited in a report from HITC, that Boro are keen to make Bosnia international Besic’s stay at the Riverside Stadium permanent in January.

The midfielder’s deal at the club is currently set to run until the end of the season, with Besic still on Everton’s books.

However, it seems Boro boss Tony Pulis has been impressed by the energetic midfielder and will make efforts to secure his services on a long-term contract in the January transfer window.

The 26-year-old has already emerged as an important member of the Boro side and has made 12 appearances this season, as the club chase promotion to the Premier League.

Besic does not appear to be in Marco Silva’s plans for the future and a move away from Everton in the near future appears to be a likely outcome for Besic.
