Mina having Everton medical as he closes in on move from Barcelona

Defender Yerry Mina is having a medical to sign for Everton in Barcelona as he closes in on a move to Goodison Park.

According to Sky Sports, as cited on Get French Football News, the player’s move to Everton is close after weeks of speculation.

Manchester United, Lyon and Everton have all been heavily linked with Mina after he stood out in Russia at the World Cup with Colombia.

Barcelona are happy to cash in on the player this summer after he failed to impress during his brief stint at the Nou Camp, following his January move.

Jose Mourinho’s side had been hoping to beat Everton to Mina with late interest, but the player appears to have chosen a move to Goodison Park.

Left-back Lucas Digne has already moved to Everton from Barcelona, while midfielder Andre Gomes is also being heavily linked with a move to the Toffees.
