Everton winger Kevin Mirallas has been speaking about his failed move to Olympiakos on deadline day.
The Belgian international was keen to depart Goodison Park in the closing stages of the transfer window and it looks as though a return to Greece was his top priority.
Mirallas featured for Olympiakos between 2010 and 2012 and established himself as one of the Greek league’s most potent attackers, leading to Everton moving in for him.

It was only in May that the tricky wide man penned a new deal with Everton. Mirallas put pen to paper on a three-year contract with the Toffees, and expressed his happiness to commit his future.
However, in a recent interview with Belgian news outlet DH Net, he passionately spoke of his disappointment that Everton would not let him leave.
I really wanted to join Olympiakos. I’m really sad. Everton didn’t want to let me go.
I would like to thank all Olympiakos supporters for the many messages they sent me. And they must know that I love their club and, as I said before, one day I will come back to them.
Mirallas could very well seek a January exit now, but may need to reassess his stance as he looks to establish himself as a starter for Everton.
