Mohamed Salah an injury doubt for the Derby

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah missed his team’s training session at Melwood on Wednesday, just a few days before The Reds are set to travel to Goodison Park for the Merseyside Derby.

After Manchester City’s win over Arsenal at the Etihad on Wednesday evening, Everton fans will be very relieved to know that Liverpool can no longer win the Premier League title with a win over the Blues on Sunday night, but either way, Everton will be looking to throw a spanner in the works.

Salah missed Liverpool’s 6-0 friendly over Blackburn Rovers at the end of last week and he’s now missed another session at Melwood, which has lead to a few questions about the Egyptian’s status heading back into the restart game.

Everton have had their own injury worries to deal with, but it looks like they could be about to face a Liverpool side without Salah.

Of course, the Reds will still have plenty of attacking talent on display with the likes of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi but not having to face Salah in their first game back could be a big boost for the Everton defence.
