Harry Wilson is still on Everton’s shortlist
Everton have expressed an interest in Harry Wilson, with the Welsh international looking likely to leave Fulham as a free agent.
As Wilson’s contract expiry date approaches, the Blues’ stance on the winger has not changed, according to Sky Sports.
The 29-year-old was a key component in Fulham’s wonderful Championship season of 2021-22, when the Cottagers were promoted to the Premier League as champions.

In what appears to be the Welshman’s final season at Craven Cottager, he has managed to record his best campaign to date.
Fulham sit just below Everton in the Premier League table, but are level on points after amassing a total of 49.
It is not known whether Wilson is prioritising a move to a club that will feature in a European competition next season, but multiple sides, including Aston Villa, are also interested in the winger.
The cost of a free agent
Free agents appear to be a smart move, and they do have their merits, as it represents the opportunity to move for a relatively experienced player for a low cost.
Yet they can come tied with high wages, with the respective player letting their original contract expire, in an effort to find better pay elsewhere.
Wilson fits in this category, but the question remains as to whether Everton will pay his requested wage.
Given the Toffees’ current options on the wing, the 29-year-old would not be an immediate starter, as Iliman Ndiaye and Jack Grealish occupy starting roles on both sides of the pitch.
Although it is not a guarantee that both will be at Hill Dickinson Stadium for the 2026-27 season, should they stay, would Everton be willing to pay high wages for a backup winger?
The Toffees are not in a position to give a squad player high wages, so if Wilson makes his way to Merseyside, it would indicate Moyes has a specific role for the Welshman.
