Muhamed Bešić moves to Middlesbrough on loan

Everton’s out-of-favour Muhamed Baešić moved late last night on deadline day and joined Middlesbrough on loan until the end of the season.

The former Hamburg man has managed 56 appearances for the Blues since signing in 2014, but has found himself on the fringes at Goodison Park since the arrival of Sam Allardyce.

Bešić joins the north east club alongside Martin Crainie, who has also moved to the Riverside from Huddersfield Town for an undisclosed fee.

The Bosnian joins a wealth of players going out the door at Everton this month, including the likes of Ross Barkley – who moved to Chelsea – and Aaron Lennon, who joined Burnley for an undisclosed fee.

Meanwhile, Sam Allardyce was able to welcome Cenk Tosun from Besiktas and Theo Walcott from Arsenal for a combined price of £47 million pounds.

Bešić will be a player that Tony Pulis will be aware of having managed in the Premier League. He will add strength and depth to the Boro squad.

matchday.
