Everton have been approached over a potential deal for Dusan Vlahovic, with the striker still without a club since leaving Juventus as a free agent on 1 July.
TEAMtalk report that the approach came from the Serbia international’s camp, rather than the other way round — Everton are said to be weighing up whether to pursue the move rather than driving it themselves.
Vlahovic, 26, spent four and a half years at Juventus after an £85m move from Fiorentina in January 2022, scoring 50 goals in 123 appearances. He has 41 caps for Serbia and stands at 6ft 3in, a profile that would add a different physical option to David Moyes’ forward line.
He isn’t short of admirers. While Real Madrid have also been offered the striker, according to Matteo Moretto, Tuttomercato report that both Bayern Munich and Newcastle have made contact without taking their interest further at this stage. Some Turkish clubs are also said to be circling, with signing-on bonuses in the region of €10m being mentioned given his free-agent status.
Everton have a long-standing history with this one. The club were linked with Vlahovic as far back as last November, when Roma’s Friedkin ownership was also credited with interest given their shared ties to Everton.
Moyes has been searching for attacking reinforcements to support Beto and Thierno Barry, whose return since his £35m move from Villarreal has yet to convince.
A free transfer would ease the financial burden, though Vlahovic’s wages — reported at well over £300,000 a week during his time in Turin — remain a significant obstacle to any deal getting done.
