New Everton signing Henry Onyekuru turned down PSG

Everton’s new summer signing Henry Onyekuru has told the Belgian media how he had been contacted by 48 clubs including French giants Paris Saint-Germain before deciding on a move to Goodison Park.

The Toffees announced the signing of the 20-year-old last week from Belgian side Eupen and was immediately loaned to Anderlecht for the upcoming campaign.

Onyekuru, who found the back of the net in the Pro League 22 times and was the top scorer, admitted that there were a lot of options for him on the table before he finally decided on a move to Everton. He even stated that he finished his medical with Paris Saint-Germain before the move collapsed.

The youngster is more than happy with how things have ended up and told the Belgian media: “With Everton and Anderlecht we found the perfect deal. I’m in a good club from the Premier League and with Anderlecht I can play the Champions League.”
