Niasse tells Everton he wants to leave – Should the club allow him to go?

Everton forward Oumar Niasse has told the club that he wishes to leave in order to sign for Trabzonspor, according to Fanatik (via Sport Witness).

The Turkish Super Lig side are interested in bringing the Senegal international to Trabzon after they failed to convince free agent Daniel Sturridge to join the club.

Fanatik claim that Niasse is very close to completing his transfer away from Goodison Park, having told the club he wants to return to the league he excelled in during the 2013/14 season.

Following the signing of Moise Kean from Juventus and with Marco Silva having faith in Dominic Calvert-Lewin, the Toffees are also keen to offload the former Lokomotiv Moscow man.

Niasse has fast become a fan favourite on Merseyside, but if we’re being honest, it isn’t for his on-field performances. In this sense he is very much like Denis Stracqualursi – not a lot of ability, but an awful lot of heart.

If Everton possess genuine ambition to break into the top six this season, or any of the next few seasons really, they need to move past the likes of Oumar Niasse and focus on pure quality to drive them upwards and onwards.

While we at Read Everton wish Niasse all the best with his next club, it does appear the best move for all, especially Everton, is if the 29-year old moves on this summer.
