Paulo Fonseca heading to England this summer

Former Porto manager Paulo Fonseca is reportedly heading to England and could possibly be in talks with Everton to replace Sam Allardyce at the end of the season, according to Graeme Bailey.

Fonseca is currently manager of Shakhtar Donetsk, where last season he won the treble, winning the Ukrainian Premier League, Ukrainian Cup and the Ukrainian Super Cup.

This season, he is also top of the Ukrainian Premier League and looks to complete a second consecutive league title, and tonight, they play against Mariupol in the Ukrainian Cup semi-final.

However, if he were to win the trophies with Shakhtar this season, they may be his last honours at the clu, as he is reportedly heading to England as he is ready to take the hot seat at Goodison Park for next season.

Despite Sam Allardyce guiding the Toffees from a relegation scrap to the top half of the table, a lot of fans are still not happy and it seems this may be a mutual feeling along with the board.

Everton, under Allardyce, have only won four of their last 17 games and have succumbed to heavy losses against Arsenal and Tottenham, whilst also losing to the likes of Bournemouth, Watford and Burnley, as well as drawing 1-1 at home to rock bottom West Bromwich Albion.
