Result: Everton’s Man of the Match against Arsenal

On Sunday, Everton secured a brilliant 1-0 victory over top-four chasing Arsenal at Goodison Park.

The Toffees scored the game’s only goal early on through Phil Jagielka, who was a late inclusion in Everton’s starting line-up after Michael Keane withdrew through illness.

Following a long throw from Lucas Digne, Jagielka headed the ball on to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, whose goal-bound effort was saved by goalkeeper Bernd Leno, only for Jagielka to turn it in from close range.
