Everton manager Ronald Koeman has confirmed that Wayne Rooney will be fit to face Burnley, Paul Joyce has reported.

The England international appeared to suffer a wrist injury, which saw him require treatment in Everton’s clash against Apollon Limassol in the Europa League on Thursday.
Rooney scored the Toffees’ first goal in the 2-2 draw against the Cypriot outfit as Everton succumbed to yet another underwhelming result in European competition.

The former Manchester United man has been a figure of controversy since his move in the summer, but has contributed with a considerable amount of goals and assists already.
Having Rooney available to Koeman will be a big boost for the Dutchman, who is looking to turn around a worrying patch of form for his side.
Koeman has also confirmed that Oumar Niasse will start against Burnley.
