Sam Allardyce expects to be in charge of Everton next season

Everton manager Sam Allardyce has said that he will remain in charge of the club next season and that he has already started making plans with the club’s owner, Sky Sports reports.

Allardyce took over from Ronald Koeman back in November with Everton seemingly in a relegation battle.

Despite Everton having turned their season around and now occupying eight position in the league, the former England manager has failed to win over some of the fans with his playing style.

A banner calling for Allardyce to leave the club was displayed at their 1-0 home win over Newcastle on Monday night.

However the Everton boss has said that he is very much expecting to be in charge for the 2018/19 campaign.

We discussed plans for next season yesterday with Farhad. I think we have some clarity moving forward now.

I think our pre-season, in terms of when we start back and where we go, is nearly in place.

(Regarding) ins and outs of players, it is a wait-and-see basis in terms of what we can try and achieve and then, under those circumstances, what players do we move on.

Allardyce was asked to clarify if he would remain in charge of the Toffees next season, to which he replied:

Didn’t I just say that? For clarification, yes.

matchday.
