Marco Silva has revealed that Everton will leave it late to make a decision over Yerry Mina’s fitness to face Tottenham.
The Colombian centre-back was expected to miss the game against Spurs on Sunday after being forced off in the first-half against Watford on Tuesday through injury.
The former Barcelona man missed last weekend’s Premier League game against Brighton, and then it had appeared as though Silva’s decision to rush him back to face Watford had turned out poorly for the defender.

However, Silva now claims that while Mina had been in some pain, he is now back working with the first-team squad, and the medical team will leave it late to decide whether he can feature.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Silva said:
He [Mina] worked with the team this morning. It was nothing serious, what he has in his knee at this moment.
It’s just a matter of him having the conditions to support the pain he has in this moment. If he can do that, he can train and possibly he can play as well.
Today he did in the morning all the session, let’s see how he will react tomorrow and after we will take the decisions.
We hope it’s nothing really special and it looks nothing special.’

With Tottenham currently experiencing troubles of their own, it would be a huge benefit for Everton if they would be able to call on an injury-free Mina this weekend.
He has been the club’s best player so far this season, and his presence against Mauricio Pochettino’s side would be important in helping Everton secure three points.
If he does miss out however, it will be a chance for Michael Keane to step it up, having gone through a bit of a rough patch recently while Mason Holgate has shined.
