Silva celebrates Iwobi goal against Wolves – Fan Reactions

It seems that a large portion of the Everton fan base are at least content with Marco Silva at the helm of the club.

After some not so savoury times under recent managers, particularly the last couple of months under Ronald Koeman and Sam Allardyce’s entire managerial spell on Merseyside, Silva has finally provided the Toffees with some managerial promise post-David Moyes.

Highly regarded and young enough to continue developing and improving his own philosophies, Silva looks to be the right man to lead Everton back into Europe, a feat he will hopefully achieve this season.

Following his reaction to Alex Iwobi’s goal against Wolves on Sunday, where the Blues picked up their second Premier League win of the season, a few Everton fans took to Twitter to hail Silva’s passionate display.

@Goal1966_ said: “Nice to see an Everton manager with more passion than our last 3 managers combined”.

@DarrenDazthat said: “Big dunc there too, lovely old job, plenty more in the tank”.

I know Silva isn’t quite universally backed from the Everton fan base, but I would count myself in the camp of those backing the Portuguese coach.

I like Silva, and I think he can do well with Everton if he is given the backing that he currently is being given by Farhad Moshiri. Teamed with Marcel Brands, I think the duo are as solid a pairing as Everton could hope for.

Tactically I think Silva has room for improvement, but as a man who represents Everton and their fans, he is ten times the manager that Allardyce was, and on his own merit I think he has done well to put Everton back on the right track.
