Silva compares Kean’s situation to Fabinho’s at Liverpool

Everton boss Marco Silva has compared Moise Kean’s situation to the one that Liverpool midfielder Fabinho faced.

The Brazilian midfielder took almost six months to full settle and be integrated into Jurgen Klopp’s squad and now he is one of their most important players.

As reported by The Athletic’s Everton correspondent Patrick Boyland, Silva believes that a similar approach may be needed with the much younger Kean, who has struggled since arriving at Goodison Park from Juventus.

The 19-year-old striker is yet to find the net for the Toffees but did score a brace for Italy’s Under-21 side during the international break.

Does Silva make a valid point?

READ EVERTON VERDICT

Absolutely. Fabinho was given as much time as he needed to settle into England and then was eased into action by Klopp and the results have been magnificent.

A similar approach by Silva with Kean could produce the same results and this requires a lot of patience.

Letting Kean leave would be a catastrophic move by Everton and it seems Silva has carefully planned what to do with Kean to ensure he steps up in the future.
