Marco Silva has confirmed that JP Gbamin has begun training following his lengthy injury lay-off.
The Ivory Coast international who joined the Toffees from Mainz in the summer has been missing for the past few weeks after suffering a thigh injury in training.
Gbamin made his especially early debut against Crystal Palace on the opening day of the new season after Andre Gomes was forced off early through injury, and the midfielder looked shaky.

The 24-year old started the following game against Watford where he looked much more composed on the ball, and many fans were excited to watch his development continue.
However, he has been injured since that game, and Silva confirmed in his pre-Burnley press conference that Gbamin has started running again. Silva said:
We saw him for the first time on the pitch this morning, doing individual work with Bruno (Mendes).

I’m really excited to see Gbamin return to action, personally. I was really impressed by his performance against the Hornets, and coupled with his reputation in Germany, I think he could be a really good signing for the club.
Everton have struggled in their midfield selection in recent weeks, with Andre Gomes missing the past few games through injury, Morgan Schneiderlin largely failing to impress and Tom Davies not getting many minutes. Gbamin would add another option for Silva.
Gomes being back this weekend is positive, and the sooner we have Gbamin as an option too, the better.
