Marco Silva appears to be on thin ice at Everton, at least as far as many fans are concerned, after the Toffees lost their impressive unbeaten home run to Sheffield United.
Yerry Mina scored an own goal in the first half, shouldering a swinging Oliver Norwood corner past Jordan Pickford.
Blades summer signing Lys Mousset doubled the away side’s lead with a sliding shot following a long through ball with ten minutes remaining.
Everton fans poured out of Goodison Park in their droves as Silva’s men were comprehensible and embarrassingly beaten, with the result putting even more pressure on the Everton manager’s shoulders.
Everton Twitter was a mess following the game, and these are just some of the many fans who took to the platform to express their rage and frustration.

I have no words to defend Marco Silva for that performance. I’m not calling for his head, but that performance alone was a sackable offence.
Everything went wrong, every player wasn’t at the races, and Silva had no ideas except pumping more attacking players up front until the entire system was too top heavy to defend on the counter.
Not acceptable, and I don’t know where we go from here, especially with Manchester City up next (in the Premier League).
