Silva prepared to flog Everton duo to fund new striker

Marco Silva is reportedly ready to say goodbye to two of his current players in order to fund the purchase of a new striker, according to reports.

The Portuguese tactician is supposedly prepared to sell Oumar Niasse and Morgan Schneiderlin, with the pair having found themselves on the fringes of his plans so far this season.

Schneiderlin has started four Premier League games so far this season, and has made two more appearances from the substitutes bench.

On the other hand, Niasse has found playing time coming at a premium. With no starts in the Premier League, the Senegalese striker has relied on chances given to him from the bench.

Several Turkish clubs have professed an interest in Niasse, although there has been little word as to the availability of Schneiderlin.

With reports suggesting the Toffees are in the market for a new striker, the sales could be used to fund a move for a new front-man.

With Richarlison having moved to a centre-forward position, Silva is supposedly eager to move the Brazilian back to the wing as soon as possible.

matchday.
