Southampton interested in deal for Lookman

Everton forward Ademola Lookman is attracting interest from fellow Premier League side Southampton.

According to The Daily Star, via HITC, Southampton are keen to bring Lookman to St. Mary’s before the end of the transfer window.

Saints manager Ralph Hasenhuttl openly admitted that he wants to add an exciting, quick, forward player to his squad this month and Lookman seemingly fits the bill.

Lookman also worked with Hasenhuttl at RB Leipzig last season, where he scored five goals in seven Bundesliga starts for the Austrian boss.

Marco Silva has given him chances to impress this season, with 13 appearances in all competitions, but Lookman has managed one goal for the Blues.

Any deal is likely to be a loan move for the youngster, with Everton’s price tag thought to be in the region of £30m.

The report does not claim how open to a deal Everton would be for Lookman this month.
