Idrissa Gana Gueye continues to hit the right chord with the Everton fan base since leaving the club for Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
The Senegal international joined PSG in a £30million move, fulfilling his career dream of playing for the elite Paris outfit.
Having wanted to join the club in January, Gana put his head down and worked hard after Everton made him wait an additional six months to get his switch.

Gana made his return to the European stage on Wednesday night, starring in a holding midfield role for PSG as they beat Real Madrid 3-0 in their Champions League group game, with the 29-year old even assisting Angel di Maria for his second goal.
The former Aston Villa man impressed for the French champions, with his supreme ability on show for all to see on the biggest continental stage.

Taking to Twitter after the game, Gana thanked Rio Ferdinand for singling him out for praise, and when an Everton fan claimed club supporters “liked [him] before it was cool”, Gana’s response was well received by several fans online.
Gana responded by saying, “And for this i will always respect”, and a number of Everton fans responded to the midfielder’s comment, crediting the player and praising him for the level of respect and love he still has for Everton.

Read Everton Verdict
Gana sets a great example that other departing Everton players should follow. Not only did the midfielder work hard and not kick up a fuss when he was denied his exit because it didn’t benefit the club, but also he doesn’t move on a drop the relationship he previously built with the fans.
When you look at former beloved players like Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku, they alienated fans by either leaving badly, treating the fans disrespectfully after leaving, or both, and that only breeds more toxicity.
When a departure is amicable and respectful, all parties benefit, and while I would love to see Gana back in Everton’s midfield this weekend, I’m happy to see him get his chance to impress at the very top level.
