Andre Gomes was forced out of Everton’s 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace due to injury and plenty of Blues’ fans across the world have been waiting for an update on the Portuguese star’s fitness.
Well, Everton provided exactly that on social media on Wednesday evening, but it’s fair to say that it wasn’t the most informative update we’ve ever seen!

The only real information is that Gomes, who joined the club on a permanent deal in the summer following his loan last season. has injured his ankle and has been for a scan.
These Everton fans weren’t exactly thrilled with this ‘update’ from the club.
Worst update ever, gives us no information about how long he’ll be out for?

INJURY UPDATE: we have no update.
— Chris (@chriscorky) August 12, 2019
That is literally the most pointless injury update I’ve ever seen as there is no update about his injury.

The lack of any timescale had a few Everton fans prepared for the worst in terms of how long they could be without their midfielder.
Doesn’t sound good

Well that sounds pretty ominous.

Read Everton Verdict
The ‘update’ from Everton wasn’t exactly informative so it’s easy to see why fans are wanting more details about the former Barcelona man. The information given didn’t bring any clarity to the situation at all, and if anything, the ‘update’ has only gone on to make people think the injury could be a serious one.
