Tosun is wanted by Besiktas although he wants Premier League stay

Besiktas are interested in signing Cenk Tosun for the remainder of the season, according to reports.

The Turkey international has fallen down the pecking order at Goodison Park and despite being handed a last chance by Marco Silva last month, the forward failed to impress.

With Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Moise Kean and Richarlison all available as forward options, Tosun could find himself surplus to requirements under Carlo Ancelotti.

According to Bleacher Report’s Dean Jones on Twitter, Tosun would prefer to remain in the Premier League, as he bids for game time ahead of the 2020 European Championships in the summer. However, Everton are happy for him to move on.

It definitely feels as though Tosun is now destined to leave the club in January, and if all the hundreds of reports are to be believed, he could be playing for any one of the Super Lig’s sides.

Whether it is a loan or a permanent move, it would certainly be for the benefit of Tosun, who is wasted at Goodison Park right now.

Ancelotti has claimed that he won’t be adding a forward to the squad in January, although he may well change his mind, and that would only mean that Tosun faces an even tougher challenge in breaking back into the first team set-up.
