Vellios scores wonder-goal in Greece – Fan Reactions

Apostolos Vellios was never blessed with an awful lot of talent, and his time on Merseyside was spotty at best.

He originally seemed like a decent little prospect after signing from Iraklis, but he could never really take the opportunities that were given to him at Goodison Park, sparse though they were.

However, he did have a penchant for the extraordinary from time to time, such as the overhead kick he struck that ended up assisting Nikica Jelavic to complete a 90th minute comeback against Tottenham.

He may have just topped that however, scoring an overhead kick wonder-goal for Atromitos Athens against Lamia in the Greek top flight.

Several Everton fans took to Twitter to marvel at Tolis’ superb strike.
