Watford have reportedly identified a replacement for Everton target Abdoulaye Doucouré, with the midfielder racking up plenty of interest, according to Harrow Times.
The 25-year old defensive midfielder has been the subject of interest from a number of clubs across the continent recently, with Paris Saint-Germain, as well as English trio Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham said to be keen on securing his services.
Despite Doucouré having signed a new five-year contract with the club in August, the Hornets are looking at potential replacements in case the lure of Champions League football or a greater challenge tempt him to leave Vicarage Road.
Toffees boss Marco Silva is known to be an admirer of Doucouré and will know him well, while a move to PSG would likely enhance his chances of breaking into the France international squad.

With this in mind Watford have set their mind on Nice midfielder Adrien Tameze, who would cost in the region of £10million, with Huddersfield man Philip Billing also considered to be a target.
With Watford’s anticipation of Doucouré probable departure, Silva may look to push through a deal for his former midfielder. With the future of Morgan Schneiderlin uncertain, the Frenchman could be seen as a key target this January.
Everton would need to pay a hefty fee, should they decide to firm up their interest in Doucouré, with Watford valuing him at £45-50million.
